ATLAS/NCDB Partnership Improves Access to the GEC

NCDB has partnered with Accessible Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Systems (ATLAS) on projects to improve access to the general education curriculum for students who are deafblind with significant cognitive disabilities. The work has resulted in a number of significant accomplishments, including a groundbreaking report on the population of Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities and Dual Sensory Loss. The team is also examining how ATLAS learning maps can be used to help students more effectively learn skills they can apply to a wide range of academic subjects.
