Assignment: Create an Activity Routine

  • Select a student for whom you will create a routine. This can either be a student you know or one of the case-study students below. If you are using a student you know, complete the "Case Study for Routines Form" before watching the slide presentation.
  • Watch the slide presentation "Filling out the Routines Form." It will guide you through the assignment.

Takeaway

Instructional routines provide a foundation for teaching children who are deaf-blind. Because they consist of meaningful activities that are repeated on a regular basis, they also provide excellent opportunities to assess a student's progress.
