OHOA Module: Collaborative Teaming and Family Partnerships

Introduction

Time to complete: 1 hour

Take some time to explore this graphic showing who is part of the team supporting a child with deaf-blindness. You will have the chance to review it in greater detail later in the module.

Next, watch this video of Patsy, a young adult who is deaf-blind, as she reflects on the role of the intervener at school and in the community. As you listen, think about the role of her intervener in terms of interacting as part of a team--a team member with Patsy, with her mom, with her teachers, and with people in the community.
