Literacy for Persons Who Are Deaf-Blind

People who are deaf-blind—whatever their sensory, mental, and physical abilities—deserve the opportunity to become literate in all the ways of which they are capable. This factsheet explores literacy as it applies to children who are deaf-blind. Suggestions on how to provide literacy experiences and encourage meaningful conversation during those experiences are discussed.
