Carlie Rhoads

Prior to joining NCDB, Carlie Rhoads has worked with children with deafblindness for a total of ten years in various roles. She has a Ph.D. in special education. As a doctoral student at Vanderbilt University, she was a National Leadership Consortium in Sensory Disabilities Scholar, focusing her studies on research methodology and visual impairment. She has served as a special education teacher and has a total of four years' experience leading and working with a state deafblind project. Her skills include fluency in braille.
